History

Born and raised in a little village on the outskirts of The Black Shroud, Arlo grew up in peace until a group of Garlean soldiers invaded when she was eleven summers old. Ransacking the town, they laid waste to the place, razing buildings and spilling blood across the soil. With her family gone, and as one of the few, if not only survivors, Arlo fled to Thanalan.A child without a single gil to her name, no way to support herself in the greedy streets of Ul'dah, Arlo resorted to scraping by from stealing, minor pickpocketing, and the rare show pity of passersby for food. Eventually, a Gunbreaker stumbled upon the then thirteen summers old Arlo outside the Gates of Nald, and took her in as an apprentice. She learned to wield a gunblade under the guidance of her new guardian, teaching her important life skills for survival, and imparting his knowledge unto her. This included her new and now lifelong passions: machinery, engineering, and smithing.Eventually she came into her own as a mercenary for hire, now trained in a number of weapons, and used her skills for coin to make a living. Some of her jobs have taken her across the length and breadth of Eorzea and beyond, and she's since made a name for herself as a professional. Now twenty-six summers old, she lives in the present, going day-by-day, job-by-job, with no goal for her future beyond survival and enjoyment of what remains of her life.

Maybe one of her creations piques your interest, or you've seen her dealing with Rowena's House of Splendor's, commissioning curious parts or stocking up on Allagan tech.» Arlo is a known metalworker, having learned to use her skills to her benefit for crafting and engineering. Maybe you'd like to commission her for something?

Thank you for taking the time to read my carrd!My name is Honey (she/her), I'm a 21+ RPer and have been playing the game since early 2020! Overall I think I'm pretty chill when it comes to RP and writing, but I obviously have my own rules for interaction that I expect to be followed. I'm also not a wikipage for XIV lore, so if I get something wrong, don't explode on me. I'm always willing to learn about world lore and details about certain things though, so please feel free to tell me things or brainstorm. Overall, please just don't act like an asshole, and we'll get along just fine.Also, OOC is not IC and vice versa. If our characters have beef or a relationship, that stays in character. I'm not my character, and my character isn't me. Additionally, if I just don't vibe with you or how you RP, I believe I have the right to drop our interactions if I'm uncomfortable. Also, if you use any kind of slur or demeaning language to describe your character, know that I may not accept RP with you.

Yes:
Long-Term and Short-Term RP, Story plots, friendships/rivalries, Dramatic RP, heavy/light plots, temporary injury, combat RP (I'm not good but am willing to try), etc. I'm fairly chill and open to most things, just ask first and we can discuss it!

No:
Permanent death, permanent injury (unless discussed beforehand), godmodding, forced or pre-arranged romances unless its planned or agreed upon, or character lore breaking.

ERP/Romance:
I have standards about who I ERP with, so if that is all you want, don't expect it. Even if my character is flirtatious and open to the idea of a fling or one-night-stand, I prefer it if it happens through proper character interaction and just leads there naturally. Unless discussed beforehand, know that ERP encounters as chance flings might not be considered character canon. As for romance and relationships, I also prefer that those happen naturally, and like to see the chemistry between characters form. I will not force chemistry or romance, and if they don't click, then they don't click. Arlo, as a character, is also not really one for 'dating', so be aware of that before trying to pursue a proper relationship. In regards to 'kinks', I'm personally pretty vanilla but am open to trying things out if discussed and agreed upon. If you're not certain, just ask.You must be 18+, this is NOT optional, and if I find out you lied about your age then we're going to have a problem.
